Ruidoso New Mexico Museum of History
Ruidoso River Museum — Jewelry of the Rich and Famous

A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!

The hallmark of the Ruidoso River Museum, beyond its signature collection of Lincoln County War displays is … DIVERSITY! The Museum’s founder, Arnold Duke, generously shares many, many interesting and eclectic items from his personal collection amassed over a lifetime with Museum visitors.

A featured display includes a 120,000 year old fossilized Cave Bear which once roamed across Europe during the Pleistocene era before its species’ extinction at the end of the last major Ice Age. The Museum’s fossil collection also includes a real Dinosaur Egg, Skulls and that of a Baby Dragon.

But it’s not just “old things” at the Museum. How about a life jacket used in the film “Jurassic Park”? … how about originals and prints by famed Wyeth family artist, Peter Hurd? … how about Liberace’s famous Chandelier  Ring? … how about authentic moon dust and real meteorites? … we think by know you have the idea.

The Ruidoso River Museum truly has, as Arnold Duke says, “A little something for everyone”!
