Ruidoso River Museum — Jewelry of the Rich and Famous

JEWELRY OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS

The Ruidoso River Museum’s impressive collection of “The Jewels of the Rich and Famous” includes some stunning “one-of-a- kind” pieces once belonging to worldwide celebrities like England’s Princess Diana, Hollywood megastar Elizabeth Taylor as well as items from the Wizard of Oz child star and chanteuse Judy Garland. Other pieces were once owned or worn by Eva Peron, Lucille Ball, Elton John, Britney Spears and a host of others.

This portion of the Museum’s diverse display collection ranges from a jacket and belt once worn in performances by the “King”, Elvis Presley to doomed artifacts from the Titanic to numerous jewels once owned by Tobacco Heiress and renowned socialite Doris Duke ... and, a must-see is Liberace's very own jeweled hammer!

Amazingly, the Museum also offers, for your viewing, Mother Theresa’s very own rosary. Following her death in 1987 she was beatified by Pope John Paul II and given the govern title Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. Beatification is the second step toward Sainthood!
